Members are actively promoting the Funeral Co-op across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Recently presentations have been made in settings as diverse as Agency Fairs at the Civic and the General Hospital; the Fifty-Five Plus Lifestyle show; the Rainbow Coffee Club (affiliated with Good Companions Centre); the Alzheimer’s Society; and the Club Richelieu Embrun . As well, contacts have been established at most retirement homes, all hospitals and hospices, many professional groups, several community health centres, credit unions, and cooperative housing groups. More presentations are scheduled. If you would like members to talk to your club, or group, or church, or staff, please send an email to, and we’ll be pleased to set something up. Both English and French presentations are available.

Free funeral planning info session Nov.11 at 7pm CLICK "NEWS" The Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa will hold a public presentation on Funeral Planning options and the advantages of the Funeral Co-operative not-for-profit model of service on Tuesday November 11 at 7PM at 419 St Laurent Blvd (1 km north of Montreal Road). Presentation and questions will be approximately 1 hour. Friends and members are welcome, however space is limited so we ask that you confirm attendance by calling 613 288-2689 or email There will be more presentations in the new year so check the website for future dates or phone the co-op and ask to register for an upcoming presentation.
