JACKSON, Elaine
1945 - 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Marian Jackson on January 14, 2023 at the age of 77.
Elaine was a kind hearted pure soul. She was an amazing mother. She was also a beloved grandmother, great grandmother and best friend. She loved and cared for everyone unconditionally. She was the epitome of love, understanding and generosity. She offered her heart to anyone who needed it.
She was the matriarch of her family and the family she created over the years. Her ambition and tenacity is one to be revered. Her world may have seemed small but her impact on the people she came across was seismic.
She is predeceased by her parents Murdoch Macdonald, Lorna May Macdonald and her amazing second mother Kathleen Macdonald. She is survived by her brothers Alastair and Malcolm “Joe” Macdonald. Her children Paul, Lorna and Mary Jackson. She will be deeply remembered by her adopted son and daughter Tsholo Dintwa and Robert Lacasse, her grandchildren Teresa, Tara, Tawny Wood and Ethan Verhaeghe, her 6 great grandchildren and 2 adopted grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, at 800 Taylor Creek Drive Orleans, Ontario on February 4th, 2023 and will commence at 3:00pm. Family and friends are invited to share words of kindness and memories between 3:30 and 4:30 pm. Please arrive prior to 3:30 pm in order to not interrupt those sharing memories of Elaine. Hats are not permitted to be worn inside the Royal Canadian Legion.
