CLIMIE, Erin
Erin Elizabeth Climie suddenly on October 20th after a lengthy illness at the age of 46 years. She was the beloved daughter of Leslie and Bob, and the dear sister of Calvin (Heather Allen), Jock, Adam and Gavin. Her relationships with her nieces and nephew, Leah, Maeven, Jaden, Lilly and Ella were the greatest joys in her life. Erin was a member of a military family and spent many years of her childhood and youth living in Germany and England. She also loved going to the family summer cottage at Silver Islet near Thunder Bay. She took pleasure in maintaining contact with friends from these days and loved to visit both the Black Forest area of Germany and Silver Islet. Prior to her retirement she so much appreciated the support that she received from the staff and the management at Homestead Land Holdings in Ottawa where she was employed for several years. Erin was always optimistic and had a sunny disposition in spite of the challenges associated with her condition. She cherished her friendships with a closely knit group of women whom she had known since high school and University of Ottawa days. In addition she was a bright light in the lives of many of her neighbours and they, in turn, returned her kindnesses. She will be deeply missed. A Memorial Service will be held on November 13, 2015 at 1 pm at the Cedarview Alliance Church, 2784 Cedarview Rd, Nepean. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Huntington Society of Canada.
