John Melton Lucas
June 29, 1947 – October 27, 2016

John Melton Lucas, age 69, of OTTAWA, ON, passed away peacefully, October 27^th, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. Born June 29^th, 1947 in Lachine, Quebec to the late Ada Ryan – John was a passionate, outgoing man who loved spending time with his family and friends. John enjoyed sports and music, with a strong love for the game of golf and playing the guitar, and singing. John, a loving father and friend, is survived by his children, daughter, Ashley Lucas (Mike Bennett), and son, Christopher Lucas, and by many friends and extended family who shared his hobbies and fondest memories.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in John’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or the Canadian Diabetes Association. 

Special thanks goes to the Queensway-Carleton, Civic, and Ottawa-General Hospitals in Ottawa for their loving care and support. In addition, we would like to thank the Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa, and Tubman Funeral Homes for their service and arrangements.

Visitation/Funeral Services will be held at Tubman Funeral Homes - Nepean, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa, ON. Visitation: 1:00PM - 3:00PM  Service: 3:00PM - 4:00PM

John Lucas will be laid to rest with his mother, Ada Ryan, at the Springhill Cemetery, Metcalfe, ON.
