Beetham, Kelly

BEETHAM, Kelly

1968 - 2021

Kelly Beetham peacefully passed away on Monday May 17, 2021, surrounded by her husband, Daniel Cayouette, her mother, Marvia Beetham and her sister, Amy Beetham.  She leaves behind adoring nieces Sophia and Leah, brother in-law Larry Von Schilling, Aunt Helen and her family as well as the Cayouette family. Kelly was pre-deceased by her father Richard Beetham and her sister Holly Beetham.

She was a creative and artistic person with a kind soul and a wonderful smile.  She loved knitting in public and being active with the Knitting Guild of Ottawa as its newsletter editor.  Her professional life was devoted to the Privy Council Office and its management of senior personnel appointments.  She was a passionate fan of the game of Curling and Basketball.

Her belief in education being a passport to a full life was exemplified with her bachelors in Arts (English, History, Spanish), Museum Technology Diploma and Computer Science Diploma. Her continued fascination with language extended to continuously working on improving her French and learning German, Welsh, Klingon + a few others. Her great generosity led her to create education funds for nieces and grand-nephews/grand-nieces as well as an annual bursary at the Cite Des Jeunes high school (Kap) for perseverance in math.

I watched her grow from the cutest baby I ever saw (sorry all you other babies) to the fabulous woman she became, but I didn’t realize all the generosity she amazingly created! She’ll be on my memorial table with her sister Holly surrounded by my angels collection. In my “study” where I read every day. Always treasured and loved.
