Ed passed away after a short illness, which he faced with a quiet courage. Ed leaves to mourn his wife Cindy, son Rick (Meghan) and daughter Chantal (Don). He adored his grandkids Addison, Colton, Kaleigh, Riley and Michaella, known to them as Grandpa and Tappa. Saddened by their brother's passing are Harold, Clarke (Marilou), Flaurie, Diane, Mary (Jim) and Sidney (Jarmila). Ed will be missed by special nephew Rod, long-time friend Barry Cain and father-in-law Lester Jordan. He was also uncle to an extended family of nieces and nephews. Ed was a life-long, proud, staunch supporter and retired member of Local 96, International Union of Elevator Constructors.

A gathering to honour Ed will be held on Saturday, November 9^th from 2:00-5:00 at the Heritage Hall, 820 Heritage Drive, Kemptville. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society is appreciated.
