We lost mom, after a short illness, in her 86th year, on Wednesday November 25th. A gentle and kind soul who was a devoted wife and mother. As an army family, we moved often, within Canada and to England, but wherever we were, she made it “home”. She enjoyed seeing the world and continued travelling with dad even after the family settled in Ottawa in 1974. Mom kept active with curling and other activities through the RA Centre in Ottawa. She loved the company of others and through the years enjoyed knitting, puzzles and playing bridge with her friends. Overcoming lymphoma at 73, she continued to live independently until 2017 when she moved into Maplewood retirement residence after a fall. Many thanks to the caring staff there.
Pre-deceased by her loving husband Keith H. Ennis, and sister Phyllis Melsness. Dearly missed by her children Nancy (Tom Ingerman) and Peter (Donna Whitworth), brother Jim (James), and grandchildren James, Sarah, Rachel, Jeffery, Jacob, and Kasey. She will be lovingly remembered always!
There will be no formal service. Condolences may be left at the Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa.
