Heather Mary Crosby (Campbell/Adair) passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018 at the Glebe Centre, Ottawa. From her birth on September 21, 1934 in Wells, B.C. to her last day, her life was defined by her independent spirit and generous and loving nature. Predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Arthur Judson Crosby (“Bing”), whom she met at RCAF Station Claresholm, Heather had a long and fulfilling career, teaching in public schools and CEGEP into her 70s. She will be missed by her sister and best friend Susan Gallant, her big little brother Geoffrey Adair, her children Dr. Peter Crosby, Adair Crosby (Douglas Woodside), Christopher Crosby (Patricia Venne), and Robin Millbank (Chris), and her good friend and loving daughter-in-law Marnie Ellis. Her adopted daughter Rachael Crosby held a special place in her heart, as did each and every one of her many grandchildren. Special thanks to her private nurse Sandra Charlebois for her gentle care and affection, and the excellent staff at the Glebe Centre. A memorial service will be held on June 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at the Trinity Anglican Church, 1230 Bank Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
