Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Harrower. Dear sister of Mary Barreto (Mississauga), Cajetan Barretto (England) and Virginia Graham (Ireland). Predeceased by her sister Raquel Sagar (Ottawa) and her brother Custodio Barreto (England).

Nancy was born on August 18, 1941 in Goa, India. She received a medical degree from Duke of Gloucester School, Nairobi, in 1960, and continued her education at Kenya Polytechnic. She worked for the Chemelil Sugar Company in Kisumu, Kenya, before moving to Canada where she met Lawrence Harrower and married in 1974. She loved her job for Natural Resources Canada and loved reading, sewing , knitting, crochet and was passionate about oil painting. Nancy was an accomplished watercolor botanical artist and had a kind and gentle demeanor.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Church, 3092 Innes Road, Orleans, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10:00 am
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Ottawa General Hospital.

We worked together for many years, and there I got to know the very kind, thoughtful, and caring person that she was. Her words and laughter every day will be surely missed.
