Whitworth, Donna

WHITWORTH, Donna

1962 - 2022

Donna passed into the Lords loving hands unexpectedly, early on Monday April 25, with family at her side. A high school Math teacher by profession, Donna was passionate about learning and passed this to her children. For Donna, family came first, and she devoted enormous time and effort to being there for them.  Donna set high standards for herself, which were frustrated as her health declined over  the past few years. What remained unchanged was her love of the outdoors, travelling South in the Spring and Fall,  and in particular, camping with her extended family.

Her passing is grieved by her husband of 36 years Peter, mother Lorraine Whitworth (Harney), children James, Sarah, Rachel, and Jeffrey, as well as her brothers Glenn, Garry, and Steve and sister Karen, and a large extended family. She is predeceased by her father David Whitworth.

Words fail to adequately express our love for her and sadness at her sudden loss.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at  The Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa, 419 St. Laurent Boulevard, on Sunday May 1st, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Many thanks to the staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, and in particular the ICU team who provided excellent care in her final days.
