It is with profound sadness that we announce that Flordeliza Mojica-Michaud passed away peacefully on October 17^th, 2023 at St-Patrick Home in Ottawa, in presence of her dear husband. Flor., or Del to her friends and family, arrived in Canada in 1968 by way of Indang, Cavite, the Philippines, to work as a laboratory technologist at the Sacre Coeur hospital in Hull, Quebec. She was a graduate in chemistry from the Mapua Institute of technology. In 1975, she married Dr Robert Michaud, DVM, and they moved to Guelph where three adoring sons, Dominique, Stephane, and Justin were born as dad was completing his graduate studies. They returned to Ottawa (then Nepean) in 1979 where they settled. They have 5 beloved grandchildren: Julien and Erica, Koah, and Laïka and Maël. She will be remembered by her remaining brothers and sisters: Solomon, Remi, Edna, Renante, Nolito, Merlie, and Noel. She was pre-deceased by Recy and Teresita. She is also survived by her loving in-laws Thérèse, Gérard and Daniel Michaud as well as her dearest cousins Marilyn, Madonna, Minerva, Lucy, Lourdes and Crispo.  In her career, Flordeliza worked at BioTest Laboratories and Canadian Blood Services (then Red Cross). In addition to be a dedicated mother, and a great cook, she became an avid gardener when she retired. She was residing at St-Patrick Home since May 2021 suffering from Alzheimer dementia. We are thankful to Drs Sobala and Tenant for her care, as well as many RN, RPN and PSWs, kitchen, restorative and physiotherapy staff who took care of her. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Pinecrest Remembrance Centre 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Friday October 27th, 2023, from 2 -4 pm and 6 -8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Parish Fallowfield 15 Steeple Hill Crescent, Nepean on Saturday October 28^th, 2023, at 1 pm. Interment will follow in St Patrick’s Fallowfield Cemetery.
