Urban, Jozef

1935-2021

Jozef Urban passed on Sunday February 28th, 2021.  Jozef arrived in Canada from Poland on October 15th, 1960.  He settled in Montreal and was eager to start a new life for himself and his family.  He learned to be a plumber and continued his trade once he moved  to Ottawa during his tenure at the City of Ottawa.  He volunteered to help his fellow friends after work doing plumbing, and his great pride was that he built the bathrooms in his church, St. Hyacinthe.  Jozef’s hobby mostly centered around racing pigeons, and breeding birds.  His great love was his friends and family and he enjoyed hosting and making fun.  He enjoyed dancing and singing with his wife and life partner of 64 years.  He will be sadly missed by his daughter Judy Flintoft (Urban), son in law Ross Flintoft; grandchildren Andrew Moschuk, Stefanie Andrews and Raymond Moschuk Jr.; his son Christopher Urban, daughter in law Heather Urban (Burhan), grandchildren Ashley Urban and Michael Urban.  He is now with his pope John Paul, and probably have some good conversations.  Anyone wishing to donate in his name, please donate to St. Hyacinthe Parish.
