FERRIER, Richard (Rick)

Richard Tyrrell Ferrier, 78, of Ottawa, passed away on April 11 from prostate cancer, surrounded by dear friends and family. He is survived by his son Shawn (Anna Wiecek) and two grandchildren Madeleine and Andrew.

Rick embodied the very meaning of giving by helping others in any way that he could. He was a too-infrequently expressed artisan, both of spoken word and wood craftsmanship. Nature, especially furry friends, had direct and immediate access to the depths of his loving heart.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa (419 St. Laurent Blvd) on Friday, April 21 from 6-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ottawa Ride for Dad event (Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation).
