William Francis Carle

CARLE, William Francis – 1937- 2023. It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” Francis Carle wish to announce his passing on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the age of 85 years. Bill was predeceased by his parents Francis Wilfred and Colombe (nee Rose) Carle, brother Ronald Leo Carle and grandson William “Billy” Steven Richard Carle. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Marie-Therese (nee Boucher), his two children daughter Christine and son Steven; seven cherished and adored grandchildren Jennifer (Simon), Kelly-Ann, Amanda (Russel), Ashley (Jordan), Stephanie, Vanessa (Maxime) and Steven Jr.; seven adoring great-grandchildren Jacob, Lorie, Phoenix, Maelle, Kamili, Tom-Alexandre and Abigail. He is also survived by his two sisters-in law Jacqueline Boucher and Dianna (Sinnerton) Carle, and his God-children Sharyl Taggart, Dean Carle and John Boucher, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bill had a successful career in sales with Armstrong and Richardson and was at his happiest when enjoying his passions. A dedicated musician and entertainer, Bill’s love of music began at a very young age and created a legacy of treasured memories for his family and friends. Bill was also an avid gardener, he was known for his impressive knowledge of hot pepper plants, perfecting them for his famous hot sauces and salsas. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the palliative care unit at the Montfort Hospital who looked after us so compassionately during the difficult final days. Pursuant to Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life is planned for the near future, details to follow. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to a meaningful charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Funeral Cooperative of Ottawa, 613-288-2689.
