Campbell-Staffa, Heather
Heather passed away peacefully on September 19th, 2023, at the age of 71. She is survived by her spouse, Eugene, and her daughters Chelsea (Bryan) and Charlene.
Heather would always say that her greatest accomplishment was her family, but those who knew her would say that being a Super Mom and supportive partner were just two small pieces of what made her so special. She loved nothing more than bringing together family and friends from across the globe to celebrate milestone events and annual holidays (at one Thanksgiving dinner, she hosted 12 people from 4 different countries!), and always made sure that people felt included, comfortable and full of great food!
A graduate of Carleton U, she started working for the federal government, but found her true calling while working for various NGOs and co-operatives. She was a keen sailor, an excellent squash player and a good skier. She also played the piano and ukulele and supported every family member in their own pursuits of musical or artistic hobbies.
Heather developed a love of travel early on, and would share incredible stories and life lessons learned; from road trips across the US with her late parents (Betty and Stan Campbell), to solo adventures, family travels and reunions with friends, Heather wanted to see and experience the world. Throughout these travels, and through every stage of her life, Heather cultivated unbreakable friendships that she cherished to the end.
With incredible resilience and resolve, Heather battled cancer for 18 years. She defied all medical expectations and refused to stop fighting, giving everything she had to be able to live and to love just a little bit longer. She will always be an inspiration to her friends and family, and will stay in our hearts forever.

A visitation will be held at the Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa on Thursday, September 28th, from 2-4pm. (419 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, ON K1K 2Z8)
