Jeanette Rita Golland (Gottfried)
Jeanette Rita Golland, 71, of Ottawa, Ontario, beloved mother of all her surviving children, passed away in her sleep on February 28, 2021. She was and will continue to be deeply loved by her friends and family and appreciated for her depth of kindness and desire to help others.
Jeanette was born on May 23rd, 1949 to Henry and Rose Gottfried in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school in St. Cloud, Minnesota, she went on to travel through Europe and was an ardent adventurer, having visited over 24 countries in her lifetime.
Jeanette married in 1975 in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain going on to have 5 children, Martin, Barish, Ozan, Malaika and Jonathan.
After retiring from a career in palliative care nursing in 2014, Jeanette spent her time caring for her son Jonathan, who has cerebral palsy. She also enjoyed swimming lessons with her friends.
Jeanette was predeceased by her brothers David, Eugene, Jerry and George Gottfried and Bob Dewolf. She is survived by siblings Richard and Maggie. Jeanette is survived by her children Jonathan, Malaika, Ozan, Barish (spouse Ana and children Lourdes and David) and Martin (spouse Melanie, children Talia).
