Jubb, Joan Fulthorp - Avis de décès | Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa Inc.

Jubb, Joan Fulthorp

JUBB, Joan Fulthorp

1938 - 2017

Joan’s canoe slipped peacefully into the heavenly waters on October 29, 2017, accompanied by her Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and surrounded by her family, friends and love.

Joan’s life is a testimony that one person can make a positive difference in the world. She participated in various ecological, women’s, peace, and spiritual organizations.

Joan attended the church of St. John the Divine (Elgin & Somerset),  and was a member of Visions for Africa and Tucker House (Rockland). Thank you for the world of dance and the Sacred Dance Guild.

Joan leaves behind her daughter Nadine (Teresa), granddaughter Ashley and step-great-grandson Josef, and the rest of Nadine’s family in Nicaragua; her son Derek (Natalie) and granddaughters Katherine (Katya) and Elizabeth (Leeza); Aderemi Aderinwale; Phyllis Danu (Fred Maycock), and John, Jeyanna and Aran Daly; and her family.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who lovingly accompanied Joan during her life. We especially thank those who, through their thoughts, prayers and acts, brought joy and comfort to her during the final part of her earthly journey. This includes the compassionate staff and volunteers of the May Court Hospice, Dr. Li and the Centretown Community Health Centre, the Champlain Community Care Access Centre, and the Ottawa Integrative Cancer Centre. Thank you also to Beechwood Cemetery and the Funeral Cooperative of Ottawa.

A celebration of Joan’s life, officiated by Joan’s friend, Deacon Elizabeth December, will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:30 am at Julian of Norwich Anglican Church (8 Withrow Ave., Nepean, south of the Merivale and Baseline intersection), followed by a potluck reception.

Donations may be made to any charity noted above, or as you desire.
