GRATTON, Robert
Puisque nous avons pu être présents auprès de lui, c'est avec des sentiments de paix que nous pouvons vous annoncer le décès accidentel de Robert Gratton survenu le mardi dix-huit juillet au Centre médical régional à Thunder Bay. Robert, un passionné de motocyclette et de motoneige et un homme grandement engagé dans sa communauté, laisse dans le deuil son épouse Carole Prévost, ses enfants Marie-Claire (Keith McKelvey), Daniel (Julie Marier) et Rosanne ainsi que ses trois petits-enfants, Arielle, Caleb et Anabelle Gratton. Il était le frère de feu Jean-Jacques (Oriette Racine), Conrad (Odette Doran), feue Madeleine (Réjean Racine), Gilles (Denise Racine), Raymonde (SCO) et Lise (Bernard Bonneville) et le beau-frère de Pierrette et Denis Prévost.
Avant de partir, Robert a fait don d'organes et de tissus au Réseau Trillium afin que d'autres puissent mieux vivre. Selon ses voeux, Robert a été incinéré et une célébration de sa vie aura lieu à l'église Ste-Euphémie de Casselman le samedi 29 juillet à 10h. Une rencontre suivra au Centre communautaire de St-Albert où parents et amis y seront accueillis pour l'expression de sympathies et pour un partage de souvenirs.
Pour ceux qui le désirent, en sa mémoire, un don à Roger's House serait apprécié.
L'enterrement aura lieu au cimetière de la paroisse Notre Dame du Rosaire à Crysler.

Given that we as family were able to surround him in his final moments of life, it gave us a sense of peace and closure and we now feel able to announce the accidental death of Robert Gratton who passed on Tuesday July 18th at the Regional Medical Centre in Thunder Bay. Robert was passionate about motorcycling as well as snowmobiling and was greatly engaged in his community. He was the beloved husband of Carole Prévost and loving father of Marie-Claire (Keith McKelvey), Daniel (Julie Marier) and Rosanne and the loving grandfather of three grandchildren, Arielle, Caleb and Anabelle Gratton. He was predeceased by his brother Jean-Jacques (Odette Racine) and his sister Madeleine (Réjean Racine) and leaves his brothers Conrad (Odette Doran), Gilles (Denise Racine) and sisters Raymonde (SCO) and Lise (Bernard Bonneville) and sister and brother in law Pierrette and Denis Prévost.
Before his passing, Robert donated organs and tissues to the Trillium Network in order to permit others to have a better life. In respect for his final wishes, Robert has been cremated and a celebration of life service will be held Saturday the 29th of July at the St. Euphémie Church in Casselman, Ontario at 10 am. The celebration of life will be followed by a gathering at the St. Albert Community Centre where friends and family will be greeted for expressions of sympathy and a time to share memories.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Roger’s House would be appreciated.
Robert will be laid to rest in the Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Cemetery in Crysler, Ontario.
