Allan (Al) John Toren
1950-2025
It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Allan (Al) John Toren, on June 17th, 2025 into the presence of his Lord and Saviour.
Al was born on May 5th, 1950, in Sarnia, Ontario. He served as a career civil servant with the government of Canada where he worked for over 35 years in procurement. He was an active and longtime member of Rideauview Bible Chapel where he served his Lord in different capacities.
He loved being outside in nature and he enjoyed learning how to repair almost anything that was broken. His family was a priority in his life. His constant support, humble integrity and quiet strength will be missed.
Al was a beloved husband to his wife, Karen, for almost 49 years. He is also survived by his children, Andrew (Elise), Paul (Sara) and Rachel (Daniel), and his grandchildren, Matthias, Malachi, Mikka, Madalynn, Léo, Jude, Jonathan and Chloé. He is further mourned by his sister Joanne (Pulie) and family, as well as friends and church family. Al was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Irene.
A memorial service to celebrate Allan’s life and faith will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 11am at Rideauview Bible Chapel, located at 1249 Prince of Wales Dr. A reception will follow onsite. All are welcome to attend.
Any donations in Al’s memory could include the following charities: Galilee Bible Camp, Pathfinders Fellowships: Ivory Coast Eye Clinic and ShareWord Global.
