LÉO RODRIGUE JOSEPH, Blais

1944 - 2025

Léo Rodrigue Joseph Blais

June 28, 1944 - August 26, 2025

Léo Blais of Hammond, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2025, at the age of 81.

Beloved husband of the late Monique Blais (née Beaudry). Loving father to Eric (late Rod Conte) and Angeline (Francis Anjo). Cherished grandfather to Katrielle. Dear brother to: Jean Paul (Elaine), Claire (Doug Lauzon), Suzanne (late Paul Bouchard), Joe (Sherrie), Richard and Marc (Laura). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Thérèse, his father Rodrigue, and his mother Blanche (née Daoust).

A hard worker, Léo enjoyed and lived a full, active life. He loved his wife; was proud of and appreciated the company of his children, and relished the serenity of his country property. He managed the woodlot on the property and built many outbuildings by hand. He made the best of his career with the federal government and enjoyed many trips South with his spouse. He cared a great deal for his friends (whether they be family members, neighbours, co-workers or community folk). He will be remembered for many things, including his friendliness, strong-will, tenacity, quirkiness and love of coffee and pastries.
