Gary Clarence Gordon Cooper

1946 - 2021

Peacefully at the Garry J. Armstrong Long Term Care Home on August 24, 2021.

Gary was born at the Rosamond Memorial Hospital, Almonte, ON on June 7th, 1946. He was the youngest son of Jonathan and Effie Cooper (Dunlop).

He received his education at Almonte Public School and Almonte High School. Gary went West for a while and when he returned, he made Ottawa his home.

Gary is survived by his brothers, Don (Fran) Cooper of Stittsville and David (Marion) Cooper of Chaffey’s Locks. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary is predeceased by his brothers, William and John and sisters, Patricia (Wm.) Morrow, Kathleen and Ruth (James) Henderson.

We are grateful to the staff of the ICU and palliative care doctor at the Montfort Hospital and the palliative care staff at the Gary J. Armstrong Long Term Care Home.

Gary is finally at rest as he has suffered many years from multitude illnesses.

 A private family graveside service will be held at Clayton United Cemetery.
