John Carman LANKTREE
April 30, 1933-February 21, 2017
John was born in Fergus, Ontario and passed away at Villa Marconi Long-Term Care Centre in Ottawa. He was a beloved son of the late G. Carman Lanktree and the late Olive Green. Brother to the late Betty McClean (Robert) and the late William Lanktree (Doris Meades). Loving husband of 62 years to Shirley (Turner) and loving father to Wendy Clavel (Michel), Gail (Jacques Duquette) and Heather Kotarba (Ed). Dear Grandpa to 11 grandchildren: Daniel Clavel (Maria March); Jocelyn Clavel; Jennifer Bourque (Troy); Erika Watt (Jeff Waterhouse); Douglas Binkowski; James Binkowski (Anna Teplitsky); Jérémie and Samuel Duquette; Ashley, Stephanie and Matthew Kotarba. Great-Grandpa to Benjamin, Emma, Tyler, J.S., Jerrin, Ehvah and Adalee.
The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Marconi for the loving care that they gave to John during his years there.
A Celebration of John’s Life will take place on Friday April 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Church, 347 Richmond Rd. in Ottawa. A reception will follow at the Church. Memorial donations may be made to First United Church, Villa Marconi or to the Alzheimer Society.
