Brownrigg, Kathleen Mary It is with deep insurmountable sadness that I announce the passing in my arms of my dear sweet angel of a mother Kathleen Mary Brownrigg. Mom was the kind of person that you fell in love with as soon as you met her. She would go out of her way to help you without expecting anything in return except your friendship. If you asked her to borrow some money and she didn't have it at that time, she would borrow it from someone else for you. She was that kind of person. My father drove motorcycles all his life, so when I got my licence at 16, my mother wouldn't talk to me for a week. Looking back, I don't blame her. I am proud to say my mom was a hard core CFL fan. Her team was the Hamilton's Tiger-cats and her favorite player ever was Angelo Mosca. I learned from a very young age not the mess with the 'Ticats' or their fans. Aside from her beautiful face, the thing I will miss the most will be the sweet sound of her voice telling me over and over that she loved me so much and that she was proud of me. I will always love you mom and I will continue to make you proud of me as you look down upon me from heaven. You will always be with me. To all the people of the Montfort hospital, especially, all the staff of 6C, you did everything beyond human ability to make my mom feel absolutely comfortable during her last 7 days here on earth with me. You took better care of her than anyone else in the world could have. For this reason, you will always be a part of my soul. Thank you! She leaves to mourn her children Donald Junior and Patrick Gerrard. She also leaves her sister Donna McGovern Muligan. Visitation will take place on January 8th 2015 from 3pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm at the funeral Co-operative of Ottawa located at 419 St-Laurent Boulevard, Ottawa. A small memorial service will be held on Saturday January 9th at 10 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Heart and Stoke foundation would be appreciated.
