Our dear Paul peacefully passed away at the May Court Hospice on Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 at the age of 68 after an eleven-month battle with Glioblastoma. Soulmate of Jocelyne Héroux with whom he shared 33 years of true happiness. Paul was predeceased by his beloved mother Beatrice Lemaire and his father Claude Grace. During his battle with brain cancer, Paul was surrounded by a team of angels, friends, who supported him. Through chemo and brain radiation treatments Paul was a warrior. A gentleman, compassionate and a true friend, Paul will be missed and fondly remembered by his friends, extended family and cousins from both Canada and the USA. We wish to express our thanks for the incredible care provided by the staff and volunteers at the May Court Hospice. A special thank you to Chantale for making Paul’s wish with CHEO a reality. In memory of Paul, consider a donation to Hospice Care Ottawa or to the Children Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation directed to the Oncology program. Due to circumstances created by Covid19, we will gather at a later date to celebrate Paul’s life.
